Getting to the Top on Google – Buy It on Amazon!
There are so many books, sites, videos, forums, etc. on SEO that it’s mind boggling. Although the book “Getting to the Top on Google” may not be the one stop solution to SEO, it is a good book for the money (under $20 as of this post). 
If you click on the image, it will take you over to AMAZON which by the way is not an affiliate link since AMAZON pulled out of the great State of North Carolina due to something that some politicians passed that probably have never heard of the internet until the bill came before them. But that’s another story.
If you are trying to learn about SEO or don’t have the budget to hire yours truly, grab “Getting to the Top on Google” for less than $20. You’ll likely have questions after reading it because it covers so much that the typical newbie to SEO will likely get brain fried. If that’s the case, please be sure to hire a good SEO Consultant rather than go the forums for answers. You’ll likely gain a lot of knowledge by reading the book but implementing what you learn will be a completely different challenge.
Social Media – It’s Hot!
If you are online and are not involved in some form of Social Media, you are getting behind. Social Media allows interaction online with REAL people just like in the offline world. Of course, the face-to-face piece is missing but that’s changing with Video going full blast these days. There’s so much going on in the online world it’s hard to keep up. With that said, what’s the answer?
For starters, you can spend some time on the following sites to get your feet wet: Facebook (used a lot for friends and family but many people also do business networking on Facebook), LinkedIn (With millions of profiles on LinkedIn, yours needs to be one of them. It’s FREE and you can set up a solid profile in an hour or less), Twitter (140 Character Microblogging – It’s Hot! It’s Addictive! It can be time consuming!) and YouTube (You’ve probably watch plenty of YouTube videos by now. Getting into video is not as difficult as it used to be. A $99 Video Flip Camera with a removable SD Card makes video easier than you think.)

SEO Confused – Help!
It’s easy to get confused about SEO. There is so much information on the internet about SEO that it’s enough to drive any normal person to insanity. So how do you know what is and is not correct as it relates to SEO?
One of the best ways to know if the SEO advice is garbage or not is to review Google Webmaster Guidelines. If what you are reading is not in line with Google Webmaster Guidelines, you should find something else to read.
